Most commonly folks take the ride described below. But you are certainly welcome to explore any direction or path you want.

The top tier waterside bike trail mixes flats with 2 hills, generally nice weather, and consistently great views. Our tour allows you to bike all-day ride, from 9 am till 7 pm. Leaving from Fisherman’s Wharf, through Aquatic Park (with detour out on the hook-shaped pier for superb views.  One short steep hill follows into Fort Mason and a downhill coast; then its nicely flat along the Marina Green; opening up once in Presidio National Park starring right at the Golden Gate Bridge. Unless you detour to the left and circle around and through the marvelous Palace of Fine Arts, from the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition.

A stop at historic Civil War relic Fort Point is well worth the effort, located directly under the bridge. To go up and over the Bridge, you have backtrack a bit, to go up, up, up… and then you can enjoy the sidewalk views all the way to the awaiting Marin peninsula. Most riders make a choice at this north vista point: either turn around and go back the same way to Fisherman’s Wharf or Go further and glide dow, dow, down to the ever quaint and always picturesque bayside village of Sausalito – where from there you can ferry back to San Francisco with your bike (at your own cost).
